I really should’ve done this all last night. But I held out until this morning, hoping to get maybe a little footage of the Canadian free skates, or at least a full list of the 4CC/Junior Worlds team. Though waiting did mean reporting Savchenko & Szolkowy’s withdrawal from Euros, but the only thing that allowed me to finish the editing this morning was expected icy conditions(which didn’t seem to manifest) letting me leave for work and hour and half late, and even then it was still saving(though at least it did so without complications, which really surprised me; I was in such a hurry I almost didn’t try to save to an smaller size and quality sound first), so I could only upload it now. I was dreading it being blocked, but instead it wasn’t claimed at all.

I wanted this one done tonight because the YOG frees start tomorrow morning, though it wasn’t easy, what with Dancing on Ice holding everything up, and the developing story on Savchenko today to boot. At least saving was no problem, though Universal Sports claimed the copyright, so there may be ads.

This was actually my first day at my new job, so I did most of this on Sunday. Which will make recording what actually happens on Sundays harder, though at least it’s Japanese Nationals next week, where the time zones work to my advantage.

Took much longer than I would’ve liked, and I’m not sure when the annotations are coming, but at least I actually finished the editing before Dacing With the Stars began(it would be nicer if the uploading process hadn’t slowed down).

Today was actually a pretty exciting day for real life related reasons, which also meant I began editing this video two hours late.  Which meant by the time I finished one of my news sections was obsolete!  But there’s a point, especially after I’ve edited together the final voice track, where I consider things locked already,  especially when it comes to official announcements very much made on Monday, outside the window of the week’s coverage.  Meanwhile, I actually tried to use a clip of Yu-Na SBS hadn’t blocked in the past, but either it wasn’t entire safe or they objected to another clip, so this one’s blocked in Korea and Japan again.
