JGP Riga Roster Links & Quick Analysis, Singles

Take two…I tried to do this last night but WordPress proved complicated, so now I’m trying it again…

24 Vladislav TARASENKO RUS
25 Giray SENOL TUR
26 Igor REZNICHENKO UKR
27 Jimmy MA USA
28 Jordan MOELLER USA

Boyang Jin is pretty much the favorite, but Shoma Uno and Michael Christian Martinez are both getting good enough to challenge him. Other guys who have medaled in the past are Jin-Seo Kim & Roman Sandovsky, but they may need some help to do so here, as would probably the two Russian men.

26 Maria GAVRILOVA UKR
27 Karen Chen USA
28 Yasmin SIRAJ USA

All eyes will be on Sakhanovich as she makes her long-awaited debut, and she is the favorite, but she’d not the only strong skater in this field.  Her countrywoman is another one, and so are both American girls.  They are probably too strong together for Alaine Chartrand and the two Japanese girls, but you never know.
ETA: And the replacement of Angela Wang with Karen Chen means is really making this an event of anticipated debuts, though how much it *really* changes what’s written above is another matter…
