JGP Kosice Roster Links & Quick Analyses

26 Men, 32 Ladies, 14 pairs, & 20 ice dance teams. I think this is the most crowded JGP yet: Men

1 Manuel DRECHSLER AUT
2 Anton KARPUK BLR(no video available)
3 Mitchell GORDON CAN
4 Wenbo ZANG CHN
5 He ZHANG CHN
6 Meng Ju LEE TPE(no video available)
7 Petr COUFAL CZE
8 Alexander BJELDE GER
9 Jamie WHITEMAN GBR
10 Andras CSERNOCH HUN
11 Matteo RIZZO ITA
12 Keiji TANAKA JPN
13 Taichiro YAMAKUMA JPN
14 Dong-Won LEE KOR
15 Mikhail KOLYADA RUS
16 Alexander SAMARIN RUS
17 Marco KLEPOCH SVK
18 Jakub KRSNAK SVK
19 Peter NOVELLA SVK
20 Matej GREGORC SLO
21 Victor BUSTAMANTE ESP
22 Nicky OBREYKOV SWE
23 Carlo RÖTHLISBERGER SUI
24 Ivan PAVLOV UKR
25 Shotaro OMORI USA
26 Nix PHENGSY USA(no video available)

So He Zhang & Tanaka are on this circuit yet again, while Omori, Kolyada, and Samarin also return.  If the two Russian want to medal, Kolyada needs more consistancy and Samarin needs a triple axel.  Otherwise this is between the first three, at least provided Omori does as he did at Junior Worlds.

Ladies
1 Anastasia GALUSTYAN ARM
2 Chantelle KERRY AUS
3 Sophie ALMASSY AUT
4 Arijana TIRAK BIH
5 Roxanne COURNOYER CAN

19 Agata KRYGER POL
20 Hae Jin KIM KOR
21 Serafima SAKHANOVICH RUS

23 Sandra RISTIVOJEVIC SRB
24 Bronislava DOBIASOVA SVK
25 Miroslava HRINAKOVA SVK

28 Rebecka EMANUELSSON SWE
29 Yasmine Kimiko YAMADA SUI
30 Anna KHNYCHENKOVA UKR
31 Leah KEISER USA
32 Barbie LONG USA

Sakhanovich will have a slightly easier field at her second event in terms of number of people around, but will still have to reckon with Keiser and Kim.  Long, Zhao, or Stavitskaia could medal if any of them falter.

Pairs
1 Eliza SMYTH / Jordan DODDS AUS
2 Caitlin FIELDS / Sebastien ARCIERI CAN
3 Tara HANCHEROW / Wesley KILLING CAN
4 Anna DUSKOVA / Martin BIDAR CZE
5 Katharina LESSER(no video available) / Viktor KREMKE GER
6 Robynne TWEEDALE / Steven ADCOCK GBR
7 Marin ONO / Hon Lam TO HKG
8 Alessandra CERNUSCHI / Filippo AMBROSINI ITA
9 Giulia FORESTI / Leo Luca SFORZA ITA
10 Lina FEDOROVA / Maxim MIROSHKIN RUS
11 Oksana NAGALATI / Maxim BOBROV RUS
12 Maria VIGALOVA / Egor ZAKROEV RUS
13 Kaitlin BUDD / Nikita CHEBAN USA(no video available)
14 Chelsea LIU / Devin PERINI USA

Federova & Miroshkin and Vigalova & Zakroev are safe bets for the first two medals in some order, but bronze is wide open here.  A Russian sweep seems possible, but Nagalati & Bobrov will have to work for it.  Arcieri certainly would’ve been in contention with his last partner, but with his current one?  This could instead be a chance for Liu & Perini, if they can take it.

Ice Dance
1 Christine SMITH / Simon EISENBAUER AUT
2 Laura ABTS / Maarten BUCKENS BEL
3 Mackenzie BENT / Garrett MACKEEN CAN
4 Lauren COLLINS / Danny SEYMOUR CAN

6 Katerina KONICKOVA / Matej LANG CZE
7 Sarah VADSKJARE GRAPEK / Malcolm JONES DEN
8 Mathilde DIAS / Jean-Denis SANCHIS FRA
9 Sarah Marine ROUFFANCHE / Geoffrey BRISSAUD FRA
10 Ria SCHIFFNER / Julian SALATZKI GER
11 Leah-Magdalena STEFFAN / Benjamin STEFFAN GER
12 Charlotte DYSON / Paul DREDGE GBR
13 Carolina MOSCHENI / Adam LUKACS HUN
14 Sara GHISLANDI / Giona Terzo ORTENZI ITA
15 Rebeka KIM / Kirill MINOV KOR
16 Betina POPOVA / Yuri VLASENKO RUS
17 Anna YANOVSKAYA / Sergey MOZGOV RUS
18 Valeria GAISTRUK / Alexei OLEJNIK UKR
19 Holly MOORE / Daniel KLABER USA
20 Rachel PARSONS / Michael PARSONS USA

Yanovskaia & Mozgov ought to win this one, while Bent & MacKeen should medal, and Popova & Vlasenko & the Parsonses will also contend for the podium.
