With the latest high-profile break-up in pairs being confirmed today, I think we might go back and revisit the previous season’s standings, and see who’s still together and who’s split. To try to get a big picture of pairs without going crazy, I am including the top 15 from the Olympics, then three more pairs who weren’t in Sochi but were at Worlds and finished in the top 15 there, and then, for good measure, all the other pairs that finished in the top five at U.S., Canadian, or Russian Nationals.

I’m amazed I finished with this one. Starting Friday because Saturday I did pretty much nothing but watch skating, getting depressed enough about the men’s results I didn’t want to report about it, and briefing freaking out when the computer wouldn’t recognize I had the microphone plugged in until I had pulled it in and out several times. But finished in time to enjoy a little Johnny Weir on Food Network: January 21-27, 2013

And now I must figure out what to do about the submission to iTunes which was completely ignored. I wish there was some obvious way to check its status. Though maybe not next week, given how much else I’m going to have to for this podcast then.

By the way, anyone know a good freeware audio editor? I’m about to run out a free trial and trying to find one earlier really did drive me bats. I need it to be able to perform simple tasks, such as attaching .wma files to each other consecutively(which Audacity seemed strangely unable to do…), and then have sections removed. Being able to amplify(I actually amplified the Medal Winners open section on this file, first time I’ve ever done that) and tell exactly where in the timeline certain sounds are would be good bonuses. Meanwhile, I at least had the trial software for the all important Grand Prix week episode: May 21-27, 2012
